(Do not use abrasive cleaners on nickel or copper trims.) Clean painted surfaces with soap and water and a soft cloth. Rinse and dry. Apply an automotive wax such as Turtle Wax to keep them shiny. For ceramic cooktops, use a cooktop cleaner such as Cerama Bryte or Weiman.
Heritage Range Ignitors
- If ignitors won’t stop sparking for a NEW install, the outlet is probably not wired correctly. Have an electrician check the wiring.
- If ignitors won’t stop sparking and it’s not a new install, verify whether there has been a spill or boil-over. If so, remove the grates and burner caps and allow the ignitors to dry completely for 24 hours. This process can be sped up using a hair dryer. Check that there is no lint or food debris on the ignitors. Ignitors can be cleaned with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol, brushing very gently in a circular motion.
Heritage Range Exhaust Filters
The mesh filter cage can be cleaned with soap and water. The charcoal filter should be changed approximately every six months, depending on use.
